Oysters and Seafood Experiences

Mumbulla Mountain, sacred to the Yuin people, forms the catchment for the pristine waters that feed Wapengo Lake. Wapengo’s native oysters have grown here for thousands of years and have been farmed since the late 1880s.
The clean waters that flow into Wapengo are filtered by the surrounding national parks, state forests and salt marshes.
We took the opportunity to marry the latest in sustainable aqua-culture techniques with the purest water quality and have created the first certified organic Rock Oyster farm.

Fresh oysters to sample lakeside at Pambula Lake.
Pambula Lake oysters have a smooth, subtle flavour influenced by the water they are produced in. The clean, clear waters of the lake are a combination of fresh water moving down the Pambula and Yowaka Rivers, and the tidal exchange from the Pacific Ocean – perfect for the production of the finest Sydney Rock Oysters.
Chat to the farmers, and see oysters being opened when you arrive to sample and buy from our lake side shed. Oysters are available in a range of sizes, opened, unopened or bottled.
