TURA BEACH & TURA HEADLAND

To the north along Sapphire Coast Drive is Tura Beach comprising of a residential area, shopping centre with a large supermarket, a variety of shops a plus a couple of gorgeous sandy beaches that tend to be quiet even during peak periods.

Tura Beach Country Club - the local golf course & club - is known as the club with the million dollar views.  Open 7 days with a bar, restaurant, bowls, tennis and their outstanding gold course.

If you're looking for a beach without crowds, but don't want to travel far, Tura Beach is a good choice.  Easily accessible from Surf Circle in Tura Beach, park in the large carpark and it's just 100m to the beach through a short track.  As you walk along you'll see the Tura Beach golf course on your left.  Toilet facilities are here too (see map below). This entry point sees you almost in the middle of the beach, with Short Point at the southern end.

Popular for dog walking (it's an off leash beach) and beach fishing, it's still quiet even in the peak of summer holidays, so bring the brolly , sunscreen, water and a book and enjoy a peaceful day on the beach.

The headland is particularly spectacular, a great big slab of rock with Tura Beach to the south and Dolphin Cove and North Tura Beach to the north.  Access the headland and walking tracks from the dirt carpark just off Headland drive.

Walk through the Tea Tree and along the cliff tops to pop out on Tura Head and be rewarded with beautiful views, a great spot for rock fishing and a hidden rock pool or three.
